My teenage years were the years 1949-1955. We listened to 78 records, and bought "Tuney Tunes" magazine. I am very fond of the music of those years. I still have some of the old 78 records. When I hear those tunes, I can still feel the wonderful bitter-sweet feelings of my teenage years, and it all comes back ..... so dear, so close, but at the same time so long ago, so far away. Music, like odours, can work miracles in a man, and can bring back recollections that you didn't know, were there. Singers, I liked most, are: Jo Stafford (above all), Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Bonnie Lou, Kay Starr, Johnny Ray, Frankie Laine and Guy Mitchell. You can listen to hundreds of their songs on Fifties music.
